Coaching approach

Tenets The client sets the agenda. If the client can articulate the problem, the client is resourceful enough to find the solution. The most effective coaching is non directive. The coach’s role is to encourage the client to insight through skilful questioning and feedback. The coach holds unconditional positive regard and acceptance for the abilities of the client to change. A strong coaching process provides the structure for breakthrough thinking.
