Jayne Saul-Paterson

Profile

I trained as a coach 20 years ago and have since coached hundreds of managers, executives, university students and employees to successfully achieve their goals. My area of specialism is career coaching and development and I am particularly interested in working with people from backgrounds which may be under-represented in certain sectors or levels of an organisation specialising in women and BAME individuals but not exclusively. I am a registered Career Professional with the Career Development Institute and a qualified Careers Adviser. I am the Director of GSP Coaching Ltd with my partner Gary Saul-Paterson and we deliver coaching, training and pastoral services to individuals, schools and other organisations.

Coaching approach

I would say that I adopt a co-operative, democratic coaching style with my clients and always ensure that I contract at the beginning of our coaching relationships to make sure that I am going to adopt the coaching approach and pace that works for my client. I am able to support clients through career, performance or well-being coaching. I excel in helping people evaluate the current stage of their career and identify the next direction they want to take including considering a range of career pathways. I coach individuals to ensure they can 'articulate their story' persuasively in job applications and interviews and highlight their diverse talents. I am committed to giving my clients the best coaching experience I can and therefore ensure I continue to research and train extensively in the field of coaching psychology and career development using evidence based tools and resources.
