My philosophy is strengths based rather than deficit focused and has its foundations in positive psychology. The client has the solution and they are more than their behaviour. Strengths are to be identified, harnessed, developed and leveraged. This does not mean weaknesses are ignored. Rather these are managed, preferably using one of their strengths or by working with others for whom it is a natural strength. The agenda of the coaching is driven by the client (and in some cases partly by the firm/organisation) and not by the coach. While coaching will at times be challenging and stretching, it should be fun and exploration should come from a place of curiosity and not judgement. It is important for me to help my clients get clear on the outcomes they want and support them to achieve measurable results which will benefit themselves, the business and their clients. I abide by the ethics of the ICF and the Association for Coaching.
