A journalist by trade, after 20 years on the road, I became a trainer and skills coach. I swiftly saw the value of coaching and trained as a leadership coach with the BBC’s award winning internal coaching service in 2003. I coached senior BBC managers in news, technology and marketing. I was accredited as a coach by Ashridge Business School in 2007 and by the International Federation of Coaches in 2011 and have been a member of the Association for Coaching in the UK since 2009.

As a journalist I learned to ask penetrating questions and I bring that rigour to my coaching. But my chief concern is to give the client space to explore, recognise and unlock the potential that lies within them. As a skills coach I learned the key to an individual taking purposeful action on their own behalf is securely based confidence, and that is what I seek to help them build.
