Coaching approach

TA is a great approach as it equips people with the tools to take charge of their own lives, their emotions, communication and relationships. As a social psychology it is also ideally placed to be effective at both the individual and group levels. My organizational training enables me to put my coaching in context to support others. The psychotherapy field underpins what I do but coaching is not psychotherapy and I keep the boundaries between the two. I work contractually so that the coaching client, or the supervisee and I work in partnership and know where we are going. Group and team coaching enable me to use my group work training and facilitate learning and development. I believe in working to make myself redundant! Whilst it takes about 12 years to become a TSTA TA is also an approach that can be easily understood by everyone and blended with other approaches.
