Coaching approach

I am passionate about supporting my coachees to discover and affirm their ability to lead self and others, and bring about the change they desire in themselves. They are then better able to question, influence and change the performance and behaviours of those they lead and the wider organisations of which they are part. My practice is influenced by my understanding of transactional analysis (TA). Fundamental to TA are its philosophical assumptions that people are OK, that they have the capacity to think for themselves, and that they are capable of bringing about the changes they desire in themselves. I value these beliefs in the intrinsic worth of me and my coachee, in the autonomy of my coachee, and in his or her potential and capability to bring about change. It means that I guard against both rescuing and directing. My coachee is able to make his or her own decisions.
