The EMCC and the International Mentoring Association (IMA) are to collaborate including around research and co-creation of mentoring best practices, and global advocacy on the strategic importance of mentoring.

The EMCC and IMA announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which also includes areas of cooperation such as working together to understand each other’s professional designations and frameworks, engagement and inclusion in each’s conferences, symposiums, webinars, and publications on mentoring, broadening the geographical relevance of the Global Code of Ethics, and sharing approaches and ideologies on inclusion, diversity and belonging.

The EMCC’s purpose is “to develop, promote, and set the expectation of best practice in mentoring, coaching, and supervision globally for the benefit of society” while the IMA’s is “to create global communities for sharing best practices that lead to development of highly effective mentoring programs via a support base of diversity through a variety of venues.”
