A mentoring programme for social entrepreneurs is benefitting mentors and mentees. The UK’s social enterprise sector is growing rapidly – there were more than 62,000 social enterprises, contributing £24 billion to the economy, according to data for 2005-7 from the Annual Survey of Small Business UK, but entrepreneurs often lack sufficient business expertise.
