The ‘macho atmosphere’ is the biggest obstacle to attracting female talent to work in male-dominated sectors, such as the military and construction, suggests a survey. The brewing sector (41% identified a macho atmosphere), construction (40%) and security (26%) were the industries where macho environments were the most off-putting factor.
