My approach to coaching is quite simple. Initial discussions identify the reason for the coaching, the aims, objectives and the goals. Contracting as to how the relationship will form, develop and operate take place at this early stage and includes discussions as to what might be off limits, note taking, feedback to myself as coach and how actions will be agreed, monitored and fed back. Each coaching session begins with a review of progress made since the last meeting and ends with the coachee reviewing the session and agreeing next actions. I also encourage the coachee to write to me within 7 days to clarify actions and offer feedback on the session. My style is calm, interested, questioning, non intrusive yet challenging, and designed to support, develop and advise - only of course if this has been agreed with the coachee.
