Richard has a successful background as a business and entrepreneur, and retains active interest in businesses in UK and Europe. After a background of board level positions in public and private companies, and with extensive experience in UK, USA, Europe and Asia, he set up his own business development practice in Switzerland in 2000. It became clear that traditional “transmission consultancy” as a means of changing businesses was less and less effective, and that working with key individuals to help them realise and exercise their own unique talents was faster, more cost effective, and very satisfying. He currently works with clients in manufacturing, design, education and software in USA, China and Europe and specialises in working with clients to capitalise on the rapid changes currently underway in these markets. He qualified with the School of Coaching, certified by Strathclyde University in 2009, and in currently studying for a post grad certificate in the Neuroscience of Leadership.

Coaching style is predominantly non-directive, except where more directive input is requested by the client. My firm belief, as we enter the second decade of this century, that issues and opportunities are most productively solved by those who are responsible for them, through discovering and exercising their own unique abilities and insight.
