Previously a Partner in a global law firm, I am a maternity and leadership coach focusing on executive coaching for lawyers and other professionals. I focus on two areas: the first is maternity leadership coaching within the context of professional services firms: coaching women at a senior level before, during and after their leave to assist them with a smooth transition. In this area I provide 1:1 coaching and group coaching in workshops of up to 8 women and am an associate coach at My Family Care. The other area of my practice is leadership development coaching for senior professionals. In this context I provide 1:1 coaching with a specific focus on the promotion track, and also act as an observer and coach at lawyer development centres with a focus on the skills and development areas needed for individuals at that particular level.

My coaching style as holistic and solutions-focused. In both of my areas of practice my coaching style focuses heavily on building rapport with the coachee and following their agenda. My style can be directional, given my credentials and expertise in the legal services world, but I am very aware of the balance between coaching and mentoring and ensuring that I am making a mindful choice about whether it is helpful to the coachee for me to add in my own experience - and I will always offer the coachee a choice as to whether he or she would appreciate that.
