My career has focused on the recruitment and development of talent in challenging and changing business environments (10 years banking, 10 years legal sector). I set up and led the graduate recruitment and L&D functions in a top global law firm and played a key role in the evolution of the business as a whole. I founded AMC Consulting in 2002 and offer a range of integrated human resources consultancy services, specialising in executive coaching, leadership and team development, career management and transition. I have a Masters Degree in Education, Training and Development, a Certificate in Coaching from Henley Business School and I am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personal Development. I am an APECS accredited executive coach, a Human Ecology practitioner and I am licensed by the British Psychology Society to use a range of psychometric instruments including MBTI and 16PF.

Whatever the context, I bring to coaching a rare combination of business experience (gained through times of growth, change and reorganisation) as well as an understanding of human behaviour and organisational dynamics. My approach to coaching is captured in the following: C for challenge - of thoughts, assumptions, beliefs, behaviour O for observation – the power of noticing self and others A for analysis - of possibilities and options for change C for choice – choosing strategies for change H for harnessing commitment – to make change stick As a Human Ecology practitioner, I adopt an integrated, flexible approach to suit coachees or supervisees and offer them the opportunity to complete evaluative and self-reflective profiles which support their personal and professional development and growth as leaders or coaches.
