Coaching approach

Andy is an Executive Business coach, focusing particularly on leadership issues. He feels fortunate in having been specifically trained as a leader in his early career, and is able to draw on his experience in this essential but often overlooked development area. His coaching style is to create an environment where the client can explore every option, and ‘think dangerous thoughts’. He likes to encourage individuals to focus first on opportunities to use their strengths to greater effect, then to look pragmatically at how to deal with the things they don’t do so well. However, each session, no matter the content, should conclude with the client choosing to take some action, which in turn will lead to a further learning opportunity. Although he takes an holistic approach, Andy’s preference is to work on issues based on leadership effectiveness, and relationships generally.
