Liz HallWelcome
Here in Spain where I’m writing this, summer is most definitely not over yet. It’s hot, hot, hot, (35 degrees, real feel 36 degrees).  However, there’s still a post-holiday, back-to-school but not-quite-ready-yet feeling. It’s a feeling I know lots of you are also experiencing, given some of the conversations I’ve been having. But slowly, slowly, momentum is building up once more and there are certainly lots of things to look forward to. A number of conferences coming up: ICF global in Malmo this month; EMCC and AC UK conferences in November, and Coaching at Work’s two remaining master classes of the year (21 October- Caroline Talbott on transitions and 13 November- Ilona Bonniwell on positive psychology). And a special Autumn offer on subscriptions to the magazine- see below in Stop Press!

We’re already getting interest in the next annual Coaching at Work conference, which will in London on 1 July 2015. If you have any ideas for what/who you would like to see at the conference or in the master-class line-up for next year, or any topics for articles you’d like to read, email me at liz@coaching-at-work.com

Just in case you missed them last time because you were away on holiday- you can read the winning articles from this year’s Coaching at Work awards below (see Stop press) and you can read the awards report in the September/October issue of the magazine.

AC and AOCS form alliance

The Association for Coaching (AC) and the Association of Coaching Supervisors (AOCS) have partnered up, underlining a shared commitment to the importance of coaching supervision and to developing supervision best practice. The associations will offer benefits to each other’s members, particularly where related to coaching supervision. The AC is committed to advancing the professional standards of coaches, and sees supervision playing a key role in this. It requires its accredited coaches to have on-going coaching supervision and offers accreditation to supervisors of coaches to indicate their fitness to practise. AOCS’s mission is to promote the role and value of coaching supervision to the international coaching marketplace, to enable buyers to access qualified and accredited supervisors easily, and to support the on-going CPD of its members.
