News: Morgan and Merrick: our Coaching at Work winners

Kim Morgan and Lis Merrick picked up their Coaching at Work glass trophies at an awards ceremony at the Coaching and Mentoring at Work conference on 11 July. Morgan, who is our Coaching Person of the Year, said she was honoured and delighted, and Merrick, our Mentoring Person of the Year, said that she planned to celebrate winning her award by setting up a mentoring roadshow to spread the word about mentoring. 1 March 2012 It seems to be getting tougher and tougher each year to decide on the winners of the Coaching at Work awards- there are so many deserving candidates out there. But for this year, we’ve made our choices: Kim Morgan wins our Coaching at Work Coaching Person of the Year 2011 award while Lis Merrick wins our Coaching at Work Mentoring Person of the Year 2011 award. 2011 Person of the Year awards: our winners Internal coaching and mentoring champions are coming into their own. This year, we received our highest-ever number of nominations for ‘insiders’ – and we were highly impressed by their quality of work and commitment. Morgan and Merrick are our 2011 people of the year

Kim Morgan has won our Coaching at Work Coaching Person of the Year 2011 award. “Winning this award is a wonderful achievement and I feel honoured to be recognised,” she said. “I look forward to supporting the coaching profession yet further.” Meanwhile, Lis Merrick was “absolutely thrilled” to be awarded our Coaching at Work Mentoring Person of the Year 2011 award (see pages 12-13).
