Coaching approach

Most important, my coaching is results & performance focused. 7 step model: 1 chemistry, rapport, contracting & confidentiality 2 clarify purpose of coaching conversation 3 explore background & motivation to change 4 clarify desired outcome 5 discover barriers to change 6 strategies to overcome barriers to change & sustain 7 re-check motivation, review and continue. Flexible & pragmatic approach, not always sequential, can be iterative. Simple version: (a) where are you going? (b) where are you now? and (c) what next? Active/empathic listening and questioning techniques and deep understanding of NLP tools/skills. I operate from the belief that every coaching conversation is highly contextual - the most important thing is to have a good quality conversation … talking about “what matters most” for the client and which will make the biggest positive difference for them.
