Lis is the Managing Director of Coach Mentoring Ltd, a consultancy specialising in coaching and mentoring, a Senior Associate at Clutterbuck Associates and a Senior Lecturer within the Coaching and Mentoring Research Unit at Sheffield Business School, where she is Course Leader for the MSc in Coaching and Mentoring. Her qualifications include an MBA and a MSc in Coaching and Mentoring from Sheffield Business School. Lis works as a coach with senior executives globally to actively engage with them to enhance their understanding and capability of their critical leadership capabilities. She is particularly interested in coaching individuals who have been placed in new challenging leadership positions, women leaders and those in talent management/fast tracking programmes. Lis has considerable expertise is in the design and running of coaching and mentoring programmes also.

Lis's approach to coaching is to use a variety of models and frameworks in her coaching practice. She believes that relying on a strict approach to techniques can be reductionist and lead to a formulaic approach to practice, which can inhibit empathy and the sense of being present for the client. Her preferred style is to utilise a range of approaches, frameworks and techniques/tools, which she feels are appropriate to the client and develop an authentic coaching presence.
