Coaching approach

My approach to coaching is to provide a space for my coachees to have the time to reflect and think about the issues at hand. I use listening, questioning, reflecting back, feedback and challenge as the main tools of coaching. I approach each client as a unique person with the belief that they are the experts in themselves, using my skills as a coach to help them achieve the goals they have set for their coaching programme. Coaching programmes start with a contracting where the goals of the coaching are agreed and how success can be measured. This contracting session allows me as a coach to start to understand my coachee, determine if I am the right person for the coachee and enable the coachee to see if they can work with me. Once this session is agreed, a coaching programme can be put in place.
