The Centre for Coaching, International Academy for Professional Development Ltd has pioneered the development of Cognitive Behavioural Coaching. Our major training programmes at University Level 5, 6 and 7 are accredited by Middlesex University and most modules i.e. primary or certificate courses, can be taken as individual units or put towards a diploma programme. We are a founding member of the Association for Coaching, which recognises our certificate programmes and are also an Institute of Leadership & Management approved development programme provider. The Association for Coaching (AC) is an independent non-profit organisation. Our purpose is to promote best practice and to raise awareness and standards across the coaching profession, while providing value-added benefits to our members – whether they are professional coaches or organisations involved in coaching.
Our members are involved in the delivery of professional executive, business, personal, speciality and team coaching, and in building organisational coaching cultures.
Launched in July 2002, the AC has grown significantly, and at the end of 2011 has about 3500 members across 45 countries.
The Association is run by a dedicated volunteer development team of professional coaches who are AC members.

EMCC UK’s aim is to define, create and promote best practice for all in mentoring and coaching.
We are an independent and non-profit making organisation with 1,200 Individual and Corporate members.
EMCC offers the European Quality Award (EQA) which recognises best practice and professional standards in the area of Coaching and Mentoring Training and also the European Individual Accreditation (EIA) which is a rigorous assessment of an individual’s coaching practice.
A recent EMCC UK initiative was the creation of an industry standard commercial Coaching Agreement, a purpose built legal agreement for coach/mentors and their corporate clients.
