In 2020-21, more than 800,000 people in the UK experienced work-related stress, anxiety or depression – half of all work-related illness – and 451,000 were newly reported, according to a report from the Health and Safety Executive. Women aged 25-34 were most likely to report work-related stress, anxiety or depression. The pandemic was a major contributor to poor mental health among workers.
