Professor Stephen Palmer is to contribute to research and teaching in coaching psychology and psychotherapy at Aalborg University in Denmark.
These contributions will be through his appointment as adjunct professor of coaching psychology to the Department of Communication and Psychology at the University’s Coaching Psychology Research Unit, and the Master level psychology programme.
Director of the Clinic Counselling and Consultation Coaching programme, Dr Ole Michael Spaten said, “The boundaries between psychotherapy and coaching psychology are an area of great interest for many psychologists and psychology students. We are very happy that this area of teaching and research in the Department will now benefit from Professor Stephen Palmer’s wide-ranging experience.”
Professor Stephen Palmer said: “We’re looking forward to organising conferences at Aalborg University on different aspects of coaching and coaching psychology.”
His inaugural lecture at the university coincides with their conference on 16 September. His paper is titled: Distinctions and boundaries between cognitive behavioural psychotherapy and cognitive behavioural coaching practice.
