CAMPAIGN CALLS ON BUSINESS TO HELP MENTOR TEENS

The UK Government has announced a campaign to encourage business people to mentor young teenagers who are at risk of dropping out of education.

The campaign will be led through Capgemini UK and the Careers and Enterprise Company. The number of young people not in education, employment or training has fallen since 2010, but there are still many not getting support to remain in education or fulfil their potential. Around 25,000 pupils about to begin GCSEs risk underachieving or dropping out.
