Coaches score surprise low on adjectival use – the language of emotions

Coaches surprised a language expert with their low use of adjectives – apparently adjectives are almost entirely about establishing an emotional connection. Delegates at the Academy of Executive Coaching’s annual conference on 9 November were asked to define leadership in a pre-conference exercise. Only one out of around 50 participating coaches used mainly adjectives.
