Organisations still offer coaching to ‘the lucky few’, reveals ILM report

Most companies that use coaching for staff development (80 per cent) report benefits to both individuals and the organisation - 96 per cent and 95 per cent, respectively, according to research by the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM). However, despite being acutely aware of the benefits of coaching, only half (52 per cent) of UK companies actively coach all their employees, with coaching targeted mainly at senior- level staff - 85 per cent of companies, revealed the report, Creating a Coaching Culture, released in June 2011.
